If you like food (and who doesn’t?), you’re going to love ManyFest. This three-day downtown street-festival is one of our favourites of the year. From September 9 – 11, Broadway will be taken over by a farmers market, food trucks, live music, and even a movie in Memorial Park!
SkyCity is a proud sponsor of this amazing weekend downtown, and we’re here to help you make the most of your Many Fest experience. Follow this day-by-day guide to the festival and we promise you wont leave disappointed!
While you’re at Manyfest and in the Wine and Beer Garden (you know you will be!), stop by the SkyCity SkyLounge for a chic place to relax and sample eats from The Merchant Kitchen (plus you can say hi to the SkyCity team!).
End a long week and blow off some steam with friends in the Wine and Beer Garden (plus support a great cause!). Wine and beer tasting tickets are available from 4:00 – 11:00 pm, with proceeds to support KidSport Winnipeg. While you’re there, grab dinner from one of the dozens of food trucks, and vote for your favourite to crown them winner of the annual Food Truck Wars competition! Live music from Atlaas, Attica Riots, and Vikings will ensure the best Friday night ever!
Sleep in and head back to ManyFest for lunch (or a churro from The Churro Stop – our favourite!). Once your tummy is done rumbling, a walk through the Farmers and Artisans Market is a must. ManyFest claims that if you can make it, bake it, or grow it, it’s in the market, and they’re completely right! The artisans’ section is perfect for handmade jewelry, art, and one-of-a-kind gifts.
Once the sun goes down (and you’ve had another churro – trust us they’re that good) Broadway will be illuminated with ‘Lights on Broadway’. Fire performers, candles, and LED lights will transform the street. Head back to the Wine and Beer Garden for a nightcap to end a magical evening.
“Sunday fun day” is all about family to the SkyCity crew. The best thing about ManyFest is that there’s something fun for the whole family. Spend your day in the MiniFest Kid’s Zone. We know the littlest members of your family will love making new friends and being a part of the action. With bounce houses, face painting, and an art stop, they’ll no doubt be begging you to take them back next year!
When you’re done and the kids are getting sleepy, grab a quick dinner at one of the food trucks (we recommend pizza from the Red Ember) and head to Memorial Park. The kids can take a quick nap, and you’ll grab a great seat to watch a free movie on the inflatable screen. Savour one of the last warm evenings of the summer by relaxing with your family and watching the Jungle Book under the stars.
